Performance Freeride Board

Sticking to their proven formula of offering easy handling at incredible speed, these free-race shapes are more comfortable and easier to sail than ever. They release early, accelerate incredibly fast and fly freely over flatwater and chop alike. The comfortable stance will give you the confidence to push the boards and go as fast as possible. Due to their increased control, they offer higher top speeds for the recreational sailor than World Cup slalom boards. Easier than ever before to rail-up and carve into powerful and dynamic gybes. Overall, they are JP’s fastest and most enjoyable free-race boards ever! Offering huge performance potential for an experienced rider, they are super-efficient on all tracks and especially off the wind. Armed with plenty of traction they inspire confidence to easily control high-speed flight. It is easy to exploit the full performance potential as the stance is relaxed and you are totally connected to the hull when transferring maximum sail power for more and more acceleration.

Shape Details
The shapes are based on the slalom board concept but tuned to suit the demand and physical strength of performance-oriented recreational windsurfers. As such, these Super Sports feature several elements of our Slalom line:

Being short they feel very compact
The parallel outline maximises the planing surface at the mast base lifting the boards onto the plane instantly.
The centred swing weight gives great top end control.
The deck concave around the mast base reduces the volume and lowers the pivot point of the rig for additional control.
The bottom curve and V-flow of the Slalom boards were adjusted to improve comfort and gybing ability. This efficiently contributes to the early release, loose ride and high water position.
The tail configuration creates on the one hand a wider outline at the tail while at the same time reducing the overall volume.
The thinned-out rails throughout the whole board length combine comfort and efficiency. They provide tight turns and easier gybing. Exiting the turn with speed will be as easy as going fast in a straight line.
The tail cut-outs are responsible for great release and easy trimming of the board for a fast and comfortable ride.
The tail outline and deck shape offers great leverage for better acceleration and top end performance.

Wood Pro Technology

This new Wood Pro technology draws on proven experiences from the past and features a blend between lightness and durability. Technology details are the integrated Innegra nose reinforcement (1) working as nose protector, the Parabolic Rail Band (3) and a Rail reinforcement band (9), bottom stringers (12,13) and a Quadraxial fibre construction in the full standing area (Biax Glass 4, Paulownia Wood 5, Glass 6,7). The sustainable, fast-growing Paulownia Wood (11) is used as reinforcement in the full bottom and a high-density PVC sandwich layer (8) is used as reinforcement in the full deck. Additionally, exclusively high-quality glass (14-18) is used.

Reinforced, stronger box construction for Foil-Tuttlebox & Foil-Powerbox

Foil-Tuttlebox: big recess on the deck and big washers: The Previous Foil-Tuttlebox boards came with a big recess and washer only for the rear Tuttlebox screw. From 2021 on, all Tuttle Foil boards feature boxes with 40 mm recess (front and back hole) and a 35 mm washer for extra support and to spread the force while foiling and for better handling.

Foil-Powerbox: Now, the Freestyle PRO, Freestyle Wave LXT and Magic Ride LXT also feature JP's reinforced Foil-Powerbox! The fin screw diameter is 6 mm. Drill the Powerbox hole to 8mm so that it fits NP's Powerbox Foil screw.

Parabolic Rail Reinforcement

For high durability: The parabolic rail reinforcements work like a stringer along the rail and are resistant to impact and paint chipping and increase the stiffness.

Multiple Footstrap Positions

Thanks to various footstrap options you can perfectly trim the board according to your needs, e.g.: inboard plugs for easy cruising and/or plugs further out on the rail for a sportier, free ride and/or centred plugs for beginners.

SURF 07/2022, DE, Super Sport 122 LTX Test

Der SuperSport erhielt im SURF Test Bestnoten in den Bereich Speed mittlerer Windbereich, Topspeed, Powerhalse und Carving Jibes.

SURF über das Board: „So surft sich das Board nahezu wie ein sportliches Freerideboard. Es fliegt frei, aber nicht zappelig, reagiert dabei noch gut auf Steuerimpulse,.. Vor allem auch in Halsen wirkt sich das schmalere Heck mit weniger Volumen positiv aus, das Board benötigt vergleichsweise weniger Fußdruck und dreht recht eng. Durch die Kurve gleitet es leichlfüßig und ruhig, auch wenn in der Kurve kleinere Kabbelwellen gequert werden müssen.

Fazit: Sehr schnelles Freeraceboard mit geringstem Stresslevel.

Surfboard-Pflege: So hält dein Board länger

Ein Surfboard ist mehr als nur ein Sportgerät – es ist ein treuer Begleiter. Um lange Freude an deinem Board zu haben, ist die richtige Pflege unerlässlich. Hier sind unsere Top-Tipps:

1. Sonnenschutz für dein Board

Schatten ist Trumpf: Direkte Sonneneinstrahlung lässt Farben verblassen und kann das Board vergilben. Bewahre dein Board immer im Schatten auf, wenn du es nicht nutzt.
Boardbag als Schutzschild: Eine Boardbag schützt dein Board vor Sonne, Sand und Kratzern.

2. Luftschraube bedienen

Bediene die Luftschraube unbedingt immer nach den Angaben des Herstellers!

3. Sand und Salz – die natürlichen Feinde deines Boards

Nach dem Surfen abspülen: Spüle dein Board nach jeder Session gründlich mit Süßwasser ab, um Salz und Sand zu entfernen.
Trocknen nicht vergessen: Trockne dein Board gründlich ab, bevor du es in die Boardbag packst um Beschädigungen am Lack zu vermeiden. (Osmose und Verfärbungen)

4. Boardbag pflegen

Trocknen ist wichtig: Eine feuchte Boardbag kann zu Rost an den Reißverschlüssen und Schimmelbildung führen. Lasse sie nach dem Transport immer gut trocknen.
Regelmäßig reinigen: Entferne Sand und Salz regelmäßig aus der Boardbag.

5. Beschädigungen beheben

Schnelle Reaktion: Bei Beschädigungen solltest du schnell handeln. Trockne die Stelle und repariere sie so bald wie möglich.
Regelmäßige Kontrolle: Überprüfe dein Board nach jeder Session auf neue Schäden.

6. Winterlagerung

Trocken und kühl: Lagere dein Board an einem trockenen und kühlen Ort, geschützt vor Frost.
Polsterung: Um Druckstellen zu vermeiden, lege dein Board auf weiche Unterlagen.

Richtig tragen: Trage dein Board immer mit der Nose nach vorne, um die empfindliche Tail-Region zu schonen.
