The hunt for versatility stops right here! JPs have always been THE true classics in the Freestyle Wave class because they are super balanced and incredible fun in the widest possible wind and water range. And this latest generation of all-water toys is no exception, providing a compact feel and quick response in manoeuvres. As an additional treat they not only sail faster but at the same time feel more comfortable than all their predecessors. Uniting the core virtues almost every windsurfer is looking for, they truly tick all the boxes as all in one boards!
We beefed up this successful design concept with a big, super-fun, high volume version - the 124!

The demands for Werner Gnigler's new shapes were not extensive, they were as simple as it gets: Just make them better without sacrificing in any segment. A very tricky task when you are asked to improve our already market-leading all-rounders but with the development of the Magic Wave in his pocket, our shaper already had a pretty clear idea what to do. Werner: "I planned to maintain the proven proportions of width, length and volume as they are key to overall ease and let us offer the perfect balance between all disciplines. The major change I had in mind was that I wanted to re-work the bottom curve…"

Shape details:
The slim outline in the nose area provides the feel of lightness. The centered swing weight further enhances the compact feel and the great responsiveness in manoeuvres. In the mid-section the outline is parallel creating a big surface for early planing and stability.
Just wide enough for good planing, the narrow tail allows you to maintain control during fast runs over choppy water and - together with the thin rails - bites hard into high speed carving turns and small waves without getting stuck.

The deck shape creates a comfortable stance for all foot strap positions, providing perfect board control and excellent responsiveness. The outboard strap position matches best with a single fin setup and offers the best freeride solution. Alternatively, the thruster fin box set up in combination with the inboard strap option is the perfect tuning for maximum manoeuvrability.

Essential shape details:
The front section of the board features a significant Vee combined with double concaves making the board super comfortable and effortless to sail.
Starting between the straps and towards the tail, the Vee becomes less pronounced resulting in a very curvy rail line and thinned out rails. This is responsible for the outstanding manoeuvrability and grip during turns and further improves the wave heritage of these boards.
The rocker was reduced along the centre, not only boosting the performance level in blasting mode but also resulting in a more comfortable stance due to the loose and stable water position of the new shapes.

Coming with the same layup as the Freestyle boards, the FSWs in Pro Edition feature a Carbon Innegra deck! (also see technology)
Additionally, all Pro Edition sizes come with the JP Foil-Powerbox and are ready for foil action! Even the small FSW 78 features this reinforced fin box which probably makes it the smallest board for foiling on the market. This box widens the total wind range and opens the options for this new discipline of 'flying'.

All Freestyle Waves come with thruster fin boxes: The main Powerbox and two side fin boxes and covers (PRO: with two small side fins).

G-10 fin: The Pro Edition boards come with a fin featuring a lot of area at the tip, a curvy outline and a smooth swept back rake angle. Thus, the fin provides more drive and a secure, steady ride in combination with outstanding manoeuvrability.
NOTE: The ES boards come with the standard Powerbox and only the PRO models feature JP's specially reinforced Foil-Powerbox.

Due to popular demand, the line now comes with a bigger model: The design features identical shape details to all the other sizes with some minor adjustments: The 124 L board is slightly longer (235 cm) and the tail slightly wider to fit the needs of the target group in lighter winds. A perfectly balanced board with a huge range of use guaranteed.
This is the most manoeuvrable and versatile JP board in this volume range!

It has been said before and has to be pointed out again: The Freestyle Wave concept is the ideal option for 99% of coastal-sailing recreational windsurfers. The Freestyle Wave offers so many tuning options that it can be set up perfectly for any given day, no matter what the conditions. It's an ideal all-round high wind board for both, blasting and bump & jump sailing. Technology:

PRO Technology (Wave)

JP introduced this proven S-glass technology for wave boards back in 2014.
High-quality glass (1,10), S-Glass (2,4,7,11,13) and Biax Glass replace various carbon materials and combinations.
S-glass has a very high tensile strength and is less brittle than carbon. Thus, it is lighter, more durable and more forgiving than carbon: On the wave, riders prefer the smooth feel of these flexy board compared to stiff carbon models.
It features high-density PVC sandwich layers (3,8) in deck and bottom. The large Omega stringers (4) in the same material are reinforced with S-glass.
Technology details are the full Innegra rail reinforcement (12), various stringers, the Parabolic Rail band (6) and a Quadraxial fibre construction (9) in the full standing area.
Wave PROs come with moulded carbon rear fin/s!

Epoxy Sandwich Technology (Freestyle Wave)

JP's low-priced technology is now available for the sizes 84-124 and comes with large areas of reinforcements in the deck made out of sustainable, fast-growing Paulownia wood (8), nose reinforcement (10), epoxy glass micro sandwich (2,6) in the deck and bottom, rail reinforcements (4,7) and deck and bottom stringers (1,9).
The Epoxy Sandwich boards come with the standard Powerbox, side fin boxes (for alternative thruster fin use) with covers and are equipped with a 2 cm longer main fin compared to their PRO siblings.

Tech Features

Innegra Parabolic Rails (IPR)

For higher durability. Resistant to impact and paint chipping. The parabolic rail construction works like a stringer along the rail. You have a better flex control during a turn and it makes the board respond quicker. The Innegra fibre is a high modulus polypropylene fibre, which guarantees excellent impact resistance and stiffness, saves weight and prevents paint chipping.

Multi Fin Setup Wave

Thruster setup or single fin - with 3 fin boxes you can tune your board for either freeride speed or for manoeuvres and waves - simply adjust according to your individual preferences and the given conditions.

Footstrap Scale

Your friends and family constantly take your board and change the size of your footstraps? No problem anymore! JP's Footstrap scale allows easy adjustment to the foot size.

Approved for Foiling

Reinforced, stronger box construction for Foil-Tuttlebox & Foil-Powerbox

Foil-Tuttlebox: big recess on the deck and big washers: The Previous Foil-Tuttlebox boards came with a big recess and washer only for the rear Tuttlebox screw. From 2021 on, all Tuttle Foil boards feature boxes with 40 mm recess (front and back hole) and a 35 mm washer for extra support and to spread the force while foiling and for better handling.

Foil-Powerbox: Now, the Freestyle PRO, Freestyle Wave LXT and Magic Ride LXT also feature JP's reinforced Foil-Powerbox! The fin screw diameter is 6 mm. Drill the Powerbox hole to 8mm so that it fits NP's Powerbox Foil screw.
