PREMIUM MANOEUVERABILITY

Das Premium 4-Latten Wavesegel von SEVERNE. CARBON FUSION ist das Stichwort und in Verbindung mit den verschweißten Panels reagiert dieses ultraleichte Segel super sensibel egal ob bei Leichtwind oder am absoluten Maximum.

Stabilität und eine breite Windrange stehen an erster Stelle. Das S-1 Pro ist das Lieblingssegel von Jaeger Stone, der es in allen Bedingungen und an allen Spots rund um den Globus nutzt. Das große Monofilm Fenster sorgt für den nötigen Durchblick.

Mehr High-Tech in Sachen Segelmaterialien und Verarbeitung geht nicht. Die aufwändige Herstellung sorgt leider auch in dieser Saison für eine limitierte Verfügbarkeit.

  • SEAMLESS HEAD PANEL
  • This high abrasion area is made from only 1 panel and does not carry any exposed seams, preventing any potential weak point in this area. As a result, seam creep and seam-related failure have been eliminated.

  • UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON FIBRE + OFF AXIS DYNEEMA.
  • Material:
    Unidirectional Carbon is aligned to all primary load paths and eliminates any stretch. Off axis Dyneema enables horizontal elasticity, allowing the sail to flex and react with lightning speed. Superior fibres deliver superior performance.
    DYNAMIC: Carbon warp with no stretch combined with medium stretch 45° Dyneema.
    STRONGER: Dyneema is one of the strongest fibres available.
    LIGHTER: Carbon has the highest strength to weight ratio.

  • PANEL LAYOUT ALIGNED TO LOAD PATHS
  • Each panel is strategically placed to align with the sail's specific loads, on all sizes. This has multiple advantages over aesthetic panel layouts.
    LIGHTER: Aligning fibre accurately with the loads in the sail allows thinner films and much lighter sails.
    STRONGER: High density of Dyneema and carbon in specific areas.
    LIGHTNING RESPONSE: Carbon fibre transfers load instantly, without lag due to stretch.

    2. Primary loads run vertically between head and tack. Downhaul tension transfers directly through the warp oriented carbon.
    3. FOOT LOADS.
    4. Foot tensions transfer between the tack and the clew. High density fibreadds impact strength in this area.
    5. LEECH LOADS
    6. Leech loads run vertically up the leech, with dynamic loads tensioning the carbon and then springing back for explosive performance.
    7. BODY LOADS
    8. Body tension is transferred out of the head and clew.


  • ULTRASONICALLY WELDED SEAMS
  • ULTRASONICALLY WELDED SEAMS.
    Each carbon segment is ultrasonically welded in place. This has multiple advantages over traditional sewing techniques.
    STRONGER: Full seam adhesion plus the benefit of not puncturing the films with needle holes.
    LIGHTER: Removal of outer seam tapes and thread.
    ACCURATE: No seam shrinkage from outer tapes, or thread tension.


  • MOLDED SOFT EDGE
  • With recessed grooving, covering any vulnerable stitching the moulded soft edge encloses the hard edge long the foot of the sail and protects the stitching from wear along the board non-skid.

  • THERMOFORMED TACK FAIRING
  • Protects your board from impact and neatly covers the foot detailing. It incorporates the rope stash pocket for easy storage of your downhaul rope.

  • 3&4 ROLLER TACK PULLEY
  • Roller tack pulleys are matched to the sails downhaul requirements and aligned for friction free downhauling and threading ease. Rig your sails with the Severne Hardware Division extensions for function and simplicity.
