The new Free Flight Foil Sail impresses with it’s super easy handling and maneuverability. It is the perfect sail for someone, who is just getting into foiling or wants to focus more on freemoves on the foil. This sail is your go-to for easy gybing, ducking and carving, as well as easy and controlled freeriding. Together with the foil, this sail rotates effortless. This 4 batten and 1 intercam sail (2 cams on the 6.6) is extremely lightweight and has great profile stability, so that you can quick start in lower winds, and truly focus on the feeling of gliding over the water. The one-cam design allows the sail to keep a forward opened profile, while it doesn’t overstep the backhand, truly a front hand driven sail. We have made it our mission to keep this sail really light, hence, only in its biggest size we added one more intercam. Furthermore, we ensured that even with less wind, this sail sets up and is ready to go your perfect partner for a large variety of foil spots. This easy to rig and ready to go sail is not a sail for speed junkies, but for riders who are all about the foil experience. We recommend the glide series foils with this sail and any freemove freeride freestyle board like the JP FreeFoil.

FREE FLIGHT

Our first dedicated foil freeride sail. Ultra-light weight, early flying. Optimum efficiency to get the most out of every foil session, allowing you to use the smallest sail possible.

4 battens and 1 mini cam (2 on the 6.6) make for the lightest possible feeling while maintaining stability. A short boom and tight leech get you flying as early as possible and feeling weightless over the foil.

Free Flight Construction Highlights

CUSTOM PRINTED MONOFILM PANELS. CONTINUOUS LUFF PANEL.

Free Flight features our custom, internally laminated upper panels for bright colours which last, and our continuous luff construction which is shared across our no-cam Freeride range.

The upper panels feature INTERNALLY PRINTED LAMINATED FILM to produce the crispest, most responsive feeling and bright colours which will stand the test of time.

A continuous X-Ply panel combines excellent stitch holding properties, for added strength in this extremely high-load area of the sail, with the responsive performance that using a single panel with no cross-stitching provides.

Sail Features

Extremely Early Flight
Free Flight is designed to get you up on the foil as quickly as possible, allowing you to use a tiny sail relative to the wind speed.

Tight Leech
Since there is less need for wind release in the leech during foiling, Free Flight takes advantage of the added power and stability gained by a tight leech design. This also allows you to use a smaller sail.

Foil Specific Foot Shape
Due to the more upright sailing position when foiling, the foot area of Free Flight is increased to allow you to close the gap when foiling with an upright sail position. This maximizes performance and efficiency.

4 Batten Layout
4 batten layout to provide a stable base and light weight.

1 or 2 Mini Cams
Smaller sizes feature 1 mini cam for optimum profile stability vs weight ratio. The 6.6 uses 2 mini cams to add extra stability in the lower portion of the sail in this sail's biggest size.

Foil Specific Use
Designing this sail specifically for foiling allows us to provide maximum foil-specific benefits to take advantage of all the possible efficiency gains available to sails which do not need to cater for fin use.
